Date : 20th January 2011
Time : 08:15 am
Route : Siputeh --> Tronoh --> Bali --> Tg. Tualang --> Batu Gajah --> Siputeh
Route Type : 100% on road
Distance: 35 km
Riders : (1) Zaini Abdul Kader, (2) Mohd Zaidi Mohd Suki and (3) Mohammad Noor Ibrahim

We planned for this route at the night before. Initial planning was to assemble at XZD restaurant at 07:00 am. As usual, Zaidi did not make it sharp for the second time. He turned up at 08:00 am when we were about to go without him :) His first stop was at Salim Kari Kepala Ikan to get a bottle of 100 plus.

The weather was just nice with sun shines in the morning. Everybody put on sun glasses. Our journey heading to Tronoh was a smooth ride. We spotted a group of Sri Iskandar Team at Shell gas station, Tronoh heading to Ipoh. We had no idea about their secret training for today and passed by them with cheers and hand waving.

We took Jalan Bali and realised on Zaidi's huge improvement. He kept leading the group and asked for a break after 13 km ride. During the break, Zaini claimed that he got problem with his right knee. Argh, what happens to my sparing partner? I was hoping that it was a minor muscle pain and to be recovered shortly.

The journey continued after five minutes break but Zaini was still struggling. We took another break right after Tanjung Tualang Junction. Considering his condition, we decided to speed up home and take my Livina to rescue him. Once I reached home, I received an SMS from him. He was at BG playground. Fuhhh, how strong are you, Zaini. I salute you for your determination and always push to the limit. Alhamdulillah, we all reached home safely. Congratulation Zaidi for a great improvement. Zaini, hope you will be back soon.

Our first stop at 13.45 km of our ride.
Zaidi took over the "raja pecut" title from Zaini in this ride.
Zaini prepared to continue the challenge.

Cheers....
Zaini is checking his right knee

Overall, it was a good ride with a high team spirit. Route along Bali to Tg. Tualang is good with wider space for cyclists. However, route along Tg. Tualang to Batu gajah is rather dangerous. Our advise to all cyclists out there, please put on bright jersey with rear flash light if you were to ride along this route.
